RV & Tent Camping on the Klutina River

Welcome to Salmon Grove Campground on the Klutina River! We aim to accommodate the traveling fisherman, fisher-woman, expert or novice angler looking for a place to hone their fishing skills.

Salmon Grove Campground is located on the shore of the Klutina River and is home to a large run of King and red salmon. It is possible to catch your limit of red salmon from your campsite.

Fishing is the normal activity around here and it is easy to master the art of flossing for red salmon when your campsite is the best place to fish. Spend a day, week, or month at Salmon Grove catching and storing your salmon for the winter ahead. We are here to support your fishing pursuit. Commercial fish processing, freezers, and a tackle shop are available for your convenience.

Salmon Grove Campground offers wonderful views of Wrangell St. Elias National Park. The ice-covered peaks that tower above the Copper River can be viewed from the campground. When fishing is slow the mountain viewing is amazing
